How content is the Democratic Party with the fact they have been hijacked by the extreme progressives?

I believe it can honestly be said that those in the center can see we have an extreme left - extreme right. Those who are extreme left view anyone farther then center right as radicals, and vice versa the far right view any one further than center left as radicals as well. I personally blame the public educational system. What say you?
