My icons are messed up?

i was watching a saved video, then it got paused by its own. i tried to play it in WMP. i chose it as a default player. suddenly all my icons on desktop and start menu started going through by WMP. i can't access any of my files now. be it jumblo, skype, itunes, yahoo messenger or even internet! please help me.
