I think that with age comes maturity, and the only way you get that maturity is with miles and training. They kind of all play in together. You could have a 10 year old horse that was started as a 3 year old vs. a 15 year old that was started as a 10 year old. Although the 15 year old is older than the 10 year old, the 10 year old will have more miles and training experience, therefore it will be more mature than the 15 year old. Good question though. It's something to think about. :)
