How long did it take you to start your horse under saddle?

The first horse I started it took me about 3 hours in the round pen and I was riding him at w/t and turning, backing up. He learns really fast. The next one I started it took me almost a month before I got on her. She was really jumpy under saddle for some reason and it took that long of ground driving her before she finally relaxed. The 3rd had never been handled when I got her, so at the same time as teaching her to lead, pick up her feet(all the basics) I put a saddle and bridle on her. So for her tack and ground driving was just part of being around people. She accepted it no problems, and about a month after I got her I was riding her.
